The richest woman in Africa, Folorunso Alakija spoke on ‘maximising your life’ at Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, Ibadan during the Leadership ‘n’ Excellence conference 2018. At the beginning of her session, the business tycoon said it her first time in University of Ibadan, ‘the first and still the best.’
During her session, the successful woman took her time to take the audience on a journey of how she strived before she became who she is today. She also shared what drives, quoting powerful men and women. Making good examples of people whose impacts cannot be left out in this world.
Folorunso Alakija said, ‘people are looking for making a living, hence they ignore how to live’. With a her talk, it’s apparent that she did not make her billions on a platter of gold. Everything was not rosy for her rose.
She took her time to dish out ideas to the superfluous audience present at Trenchard Hall for the event. When the event was going to the brinks, an award was presented to her by the Vice Chancellor of Unibadan, Prof. Idowu Olayinka who was also present with his wife, Mrs. Olayinka.
The event was organized by Mr. Okinbaloye Jenyo, the convener of LNE Conference . Mr. Jenyo said the programme was spiced for youths to maximise their lives in this present economy.
Mr. Niyi Adesanya, the guest speaker for the conference also had a great and mind-blowing session with the audience. An award was also presented by Folorunso Alakija.
A debate session was also held courtesy of the the University Literary and Debating society. The Alexander Brown Hall of University College Hospital representatives defeated their counterpart from Queen Elizabeth II hall.
